My students come from all levels and streams (Sec 1-5), over the years, I have taken students from varying background and language abilities and hence am confident to prepare and help my students regardless of their starting point. For my longer term tutees, they have seen significant improvements in their grades, typically 5-10 marks difference in 1-2 terms.
